Mango is a young rabbit who was found wandering around a school yard in East County. A kind teacher took him in and housed him in her classroom where he loved the children and did very well. Unfortunately, some children became allergic and she had to take him home. At home, she discovered that Mango was very frightened of her dogs. She felt bad for him, so turned him in to rescue so he could find a new home where he would be loved. He's active, funny, loves attention and enjoys interacting with children.
Mango is available for adoption at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. His adoption fee is $50, which includes neutering and a free vet exam.
Rancho Coastal Humane Society is located at 389 Requeza St. in Encinitas. The hours of operation are from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., except on Tuesday, when the shelter opens at 11:30 a.m.
