'No Outstanding Suspects' in 3 Deaths at Rancho Santa Fe Home: Sheriff
A child abuse call led San Diego County sheriff's investigators to the discovery Monday in the wealthy North County community.

Rancho Santa Fe, CA — San Diego County Sheriff's homicide investigators who discovered the bodies of three white females — two women, both approximately 40 years old, and a girl approximately 15 years old —Monday at a residence in an upscale North County San Diego community are not seeking any suspects in the deaths, according to a statement issued Monday evening.
Authorities discovered the possible homicide-suicide after they were summoned to the home at 17108 Via de la Valle in Rancho Santa Fe just before noon Monday upon receiving a 911 call about possible child abuse at the residence, according to the statement from sheriff's Lt. Kenneth Nelson.
As deputies were trying to see if anyone was home after no one answered the front door, they saw through a window one adult female lying on the floor, Nelson said.

Via de la Valle was closed between Los Colinas and Via de Santa Fe as detectives from the Sheriff's Homicide Detail and the North Coastal Patrol Station were summoned to the scene.
Based on the initial evidence, the detectives did not believe there were any outstanding suspects in the case, Nelson said.
No details about the type of injuries suffered by the victims was provided.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct autopsies of the bodies and will determine the cause and manner of the deaths, according to the statement.
The victims' identities were being withheld until the Medical Examiner's Office confirms their identities and notifies their surviving family members.
Also under investigation Monday in nearby Encinitas was the death of a woman in a home on Encinitas Rancho Golf Course.
