ENCINITAS, CA — Patch reader Katy Brown captured this photo of a frog while recently strolling the picturesque grounds at the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas.

"I did not know that the gardens was also home to lizards and frogs," Brown said. "It was a thrill to encounter, what I was told, is an American bullfrog. As charming as a prince can be, if you like the green, leggy, wet and wild type, I was able to touch him but left it to my camera to share my experience with Patch's readers. No kiss!"
