Rancho Coastal Humane Society Thrift Shop To Reopen

ENCINITAS, CA — The Rancho Coastal Humane Society Thrift Shop in Cardiff is slated to open June 15 after closing its doors mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic. The shop's proceeds support the care and shelter of homeless companion animals.

"June is 'Rebuild Your Life Month' and we're planning a soft opening for Monday," RCHS President Judi Sanzo said.

"This will give us a few days for volunteers and staff to adjust to some of the changes we made during the shutdown and to learn the new safety and cleaning protocols we will be using."

The thrift shop is reopening June 15 for donation drop-offs and pickups as well as onsite sales. The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily throughout the summer.

The official "Grand Reopening" will be held on June 29.

"People who spent their stay-at-home time cleaning closets, garages and store rooms can donate the items they no longer need to help Rancho Coastal Humane Society," Sanzo said. "Thanks for all the sorting, packing and storing. And thank you for waiting for us to reopen."

The Rancho Coastal Humane Society Thrift Shop is located at 120 Aberdeen Drive in Cardiff.
