Read with a Sheriff's Deputy! North Coastal Station to Hold Special 'Reading Day' in Encinitas

The North Coastal Station serves the coastal cities of Encinitas, Solana Beach and Del Mar.

ENCINITAS, CA – San Diego County Sheriff's Department’s North Coastal Station is inviting children to a special “Reading Day” Jan. 18 at Barnes & Noble in Encinitas.

“Reading is an important part of a child's life,” officials said in an event announcement. “It teaches them everything from their ABCs to incredible stories filled with fun and wonder.”

A Sheriff's deputy will read to children and talk to them about the importance of reading during the special event. There will also be a question and answer session with the deputy after story time.

The reading begins at 10 a.m. at Barnes & Noble, located at 1040 North El Camino Real, Encinitas.
