Roberts, Gaspar Lead Race for District 3 Supervisor

Initial results give Incumbent Dave Roberts and Challenger Kristin Gaspar the lead in a tight, three-way race.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA: San Diego County Supervisor Dave Roberts was on his way to securing enough votes in Tuesday's primary to stay in the race to keep his District 3 seat.

With about 91 percent of votes counted, preliminary election night results showed Roberts had 39.35 percent of votes.

As to whom may face him in a November runoff, Challenger Kristin Gaspar, the mayor of Encinitas, had garnered 33.66 percent of votes to county Republican Party-endorsed Escondido Mayor Sam Abed's 26.99 percent.
