Lagoon Discovery Camps: Now Enrolling for Summer

Youth can explore the plants and animals that live in coastal estuaries—like San Elijo Lagoon—in three weeklong sessions in July

Campers are invited to fine-tune their senses in nature at San Elijo Lagoon. Kids (ages 6-9) will observe plant and animal life by hearing, seeing, smelling, touching—even tasting nature! Interactive activities include live animal encounters, learning to identify animal tracks, and making paper from recycled and natural materials. Participants will also enjoy discovery hikes, playing games, and journaling. Campers are exploring and making new friends outdoors in a safe environment.

Camps are led by San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy-trained docents and staff. Each week is limited to 16 participants per session. A limited number of scholarships are available, please inquire.

3 Sessions: July 13-17, July 20-24, and July 27-31, 2015
