'Shelldone Krabs': Photo Of The Day
Patch loves photos! Share your photos with Patch and your work could be featured.

ENCINITAS, CA — A Patch reader and Encinitas resident, who requested Patch not publish her name, captured this photo of a floating crab thermometer in her swimming pool that makes sure the water is "a comfortable 78" degrees. She calls the crab "Shelldone Krabs" and submitted the photo in recognition of May being Skin Cancer Awareness Month.
"I forgot my sunscreen; now I look like a cooked lobster!" she wrote. "Next time, while patrolling the pool, I won't forget the white stuff. It keeps my shell looking youthful and smooth. Please don't get over-cooked. Wear your sunscreen."
