Spring Break: Lagoon Discovery Camp
Youth can explore the plants and animals that live in coastal estuaries—like San Elijo Lagoon—from April 6-10
Lagoon Discovery Camp occurs mornings April 6-10 at San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center
Campers are invited to fine-tune their senses in nature. Kids (ages 6-9) will observe plant and animal life by hearing, seeing, smelling, touching—even tasting nature. Interactive activities include live animal encounters, learning to identify animal tracks, and making paper from recycled and natural materials. Participants will also enjoy discovery hikes, playing games, and journaling.
Camps are led by conservancy-trained docents and staff. Camps are limited to 16 participants per session. A limited number of scholarships are available for families with demonstrated need.
