Encinitas Craigslist Ad Leads to Scores of Stolen Surfboards, Golf Clubs, Boogies Boards: Sheriff
A photo album posted by the North Coastal Sheriff's Station contains dozens if not hundreds of stolen items.

Encinitas, CA — San Diego County Sheriff's officials at the North Coastal station are seeking the rightful owners of several surfboards, boogie boards, golf clubs and a variety of other items believed to be stolen from across San Diego County.
Officials asked the public to view an online photo album to see anything if anything belongs to them.
"An Encinitas resident saw his stolen surfboard for sale on Craigslist," sheriff's Sgt. Rich Eaton told Patch. "He called us and we did an undercover purchase of the stolen property. We found all of the pictured stolen property at the same location."

Sheriff's officials said Tuesday that although the department has been able to return multiple belongings, many more remain that can not be traced back to their owners.
The album is available at Sdsheriff.net/return. Anyone who sees something that belongs to them should enter the number below the photo into a contact form on the right side of the same webpage. Upon submitting the completed form, a deputy will reach out to them.

A person hoping to claim an item or items needs to supply a stolen property or theft report from any law enforcement agency. If they don't have a stolen property report, they can show a photo, proof of insurance, receipt or information such as a serial number to prove ownership.
The search for the person/s responsible for stealing the items is ongoing, sheriff's officials said.
Anyone who has information about any of the stolen property shown in the photo album was urged to call the San Diego County Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 will be given for information that leads to a felony arrest.
