Students at The Rhoades School® Present Scientific Research and Projects at Annual STEM Fair

Students at The Rhoades School recently presented research and findings on a variety of scientific topics to family and friends at the school’s annual STEM Fair. All students, ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade, presented an array of projects that demonstrated their skills in science, technology, engineering and math. The presentations included experiments, studies and demonstrations that investigated environmental science, physics, microbiology, electricity, magnetism, technology and more.

First-grade students presented robot demonstrations, third-grade students displayed their studies in HTML and coding, and seventh and eighth-grade students presented experiments that used the scientific method. Sixth-grade students presented model cities they created for the Future City regional competition hosted by The Rhoades School on Jan. 21, which challenged teams to plan and create models of urban communities that improved how public spaces are used. Guests of the STEM Fair were invited to ask questions and offer feedback to enhance the students’ learning experience and help improve their final projects.
