Surf Report & Forecast for August 24-25

Colder water; surf still small.

With the last few days of NW wind, colder water has been once again been upwelled closer to shore. Water temps are running 65 tops, with some spots as low as 61-62.

Weak SW groundswell combines with NW windswell (which will blow in at up to 12 knots today), producing surf in the 1-2 foot range with poorly-defined shape.

Early morning conditions are overcast and clear. Wind, however, will likely chop up surfact texture by late morning.

Sunset tonight: 7:24 p.m.

For tomorrow, Thursday the 25th, shorter-period groundswell from a more straight-on westerly direction may combine with more NW windswell to hopefully produce 3-foot sets.
