Seems like ages since we woke up to sunshine and waves bigger than one foot. Today, it's finally here. Air temps in the low 70s early this morning with a SW/NW combo swell showing swell lines marching in, some in the chest high zone, especially during the lower tides.
Tide, though, is high right now, peaking at 8:30 a.m. this morning at 4.6 feet. Low tide is at 1:45 p.m. at 2 feet. A very high tide of almost 7 feet at 8 p.m. will put a damper on early evening sessions.
New moon is on Sunday so Saturday and Sunday's afternoon/early evening incoming tides will be similarly high.

Sunset tonight: 7:22 p.m. Water temp: approximately 65-66.
For tomorrow, Saturday the 27th, expect similar surf as today: knee to chest high with some light onshore wind in the early afternoon. First tide of the day will be high tide at 5 feet, occuring at 9:00 a.m. Good luck battling the weekend warriors for waves. Don't forget to smile in the water, no matter how badly it hurts!
