Surf Report & Forecast for August 30-31

Knee to waist high; rare shoulder high sets.

Dawn patrol sessions of the last few days are too drained out and late morning sessions are drowned out by the high tide, that's still above 5 feet from the recent New Moon.

Thirty to 45-minute windows might be better early afternoon with the outgoing tide or early evening with the incoming tide.

Conditions are fair and winds are calm for now, although mild SW winds are expected to kick up to 7 or 8 knots.

For tomorrow, Wednesday the 31st, a hyped up new SW swell will begin filling in late in the afternoon. It'll be a very long-period swell with a good chance for large rogue sets. Expect small surf in the morning and then 3-5 foot sets by dinner time.
