Surf Report & Forecast for August 5-6

Inconsistent 2-3 foot with fair form.

Another day, another weak SW inconsistent mushy day at the beach. Water temp is still well below normal, at approximately 60 degrees. On an overcast morning such as this one, definitely don't trunk it!

SW groundswell with stubborn and holding NW windswell produces yet another day of crossed-up, short wavelength, mostly knee to waist high surf with the occasional chest high set.

Tide is incoming and will peak high at 2:15 p.m. at 5.4 feet. Low tide is this evening at 9:30 p.m. at 1.1 feet.

Wish we could report good news for the weekend with a head-high swell rolling in, but that's not likely for now. For tomorrow, Saturday the 6th, expect wave heights at waist-high maximum and with long-period SW energy, expect to wait quite a while in between mushy sets.
