Surf Report & Forecast for July 1-2

It's a micro-waves kind of day.

There's a thick coastal eddy and waves are only knee-high with maybe waist-high lines and no long playful shoulders.

Water temperature is 65 degrees.

Tide fills in until 11 a.m. at 3.9 feet. Tide then drops to 2.2. feet at 3:30 p.m. before cresting at 6.5 feet at 9:45 p.m. because of the new moon. There's also a partial solar eclipse, but it will not be visible in the United States.

Sunset tonight: 8:03 p.m.

For tomorrow, July 2, enjoy your holiday weekend with a more straight westerly flow that should see wave heights bump up a notch to at least 2 to 3 feet. Dawn patrol is an incoming, negative tide.
