So is it worth the paddle out today? Is it worth waiting for very long-period weak, crumbly, waist-high piddly slop with a slight bit of NW windswell chop?
It's always worth it. Water temp is 66. Grab a bigger board and paddle in between breaks and hopefully you'll time it so that when you get to a new peak, a set wave will be lining up for you.
Of course, most people won't do that, so expect a lot of navel contemplation instead.

Winds will be blowing from the southwest for a few hours in the early afternoon, kicking up to 10 knots, so sessions will not only be inconsistent but form will most likely be even worse than early morning sessions are showing.
For tomorrow, Friday the 15th, expect the SW to begin fading later in the day, replaced by an even weaker westerly system. Top wave heights will most likely be in the 3-foot range.
