Surf Report & Forecast for July 23-24

Head high...if you squat down really low.

It’s small but clear and no sign of wind. Expect one- to two-foot waves max today. Being the weekend, popular spots don’t have enough waves to share for everybody, so expect to be disappointed.

Go for a long paddle or rent a kayak and give your paddling muscles a better workout. Explore the off-shore kelp forests with some snorkel gear.

Water temp is nice at 67-68.

Tide is slowly rising; not much of a push with the first quarter moon phase right now. High tide is at 4:00 p.m. at 4.7 feet and gently tapers off well until after sunset, which is at 7:54 p.m.

Winds should stay calm to the low-end of moderate from the west/northwest.

For tomorrow, Sunday the 24th, don’t expect much change. In fact, there’s nothing on the horizon that predicts a smatter of an uptick in swell, at least for the next several days.

Have a safe, fun weekend.
