Surf Report & Forecast for July 28-29

Meager surf once again; Is this starting to sound like a broken record?

The good news this morning is the south wind that chopped up the surface texture yesterday is absent and conditions are clean.

The bad news, of course, is that there's still barely any sign of a swell; perhaps just slightly bigger than what the Great Lakes are currently showing.

So grab your longboard and sit out the long waits and enjoy the 68-degree water.

A weak SW is supposed to increase later in the afternoon, so we might see some waist-high sets.

Winds should remain light throughout the day. Tidewise, it's another day of mid-level tides for most of the day. At 9:15 a.m. tide crests at 3.7 feet and low drops only a foot and a half by 2:00 p.m.

Evening high tide is significantly high: 8:00 p.m. at 6.3 feet.

So expect another day of slow, weak and short, soft shoulders.

For tomorrow, Friday the 29th, hopefully the new but weak long-period SW swell will at least push wave heights to at least waist high...but don't hold your breath.
