Surf Report & Forecast for June 1-2

New SW long-period swell fills in, mostly peaky, up to chest high.

There's still some NW swell but today a new 15-second SW groundswell fills in. With the NW still present, we're seeing more consistent wave action. It would be a twiddle-your-thumbs session if it were not a combo swell.

Even with the decent consistency, form is clean but fair with most sections dying out. Every now and then, a punchy, bowly chest-high sneaker comes through.

The water temperature seems like it's warmed up. There are some warm and cool pockets but on average, temps are now about 63 or even a tad bit warmer.

For tomorrow, June 2, dawn patrol coincides with a very low incoming tide. At 6 a.m. it'll still be less than 0 feet. Conditions will be similar to today with long period swells. With local breaks not picking up in the south as well as Oceanside, wave heights will be within head-high range.
