Surf Report & Forecast for June 17-18

SW holding steady in the 2-4 foot range.

Today is the third day in a row of at least chest-high waves, but conditions are not as clean as they were two days ago. A SW groundswell is mixed with NW windswell (when will spring patterns finally end?), creating some crossed-up texture.

Dawn patrol's negative high tide is now just starting to fill in past the 0-foot mark and will fill in until noon at 4 feet. Low tide is at 4:40 p.m. at 2 feet; tide will surge back in after 6 p.m. and reach high at 10:45 p.m. at 6.1 feet.

Water temperature is 63 degrees.

Sunset tonight: 8:01 p.m.; moonrise: 9:50 p.m.

Conditions are inconsistent now, but might get better as the tide fills in. Expect shifty peaks. NW wind will be enough to create ripples but won't cause blown out conditions.

For tomorrow, June 18, a weak west swell will keep wave heights at 2-4 feet. Wind patterns will be similar to today.

Low tide will be at 6 a.m. at -0.9 feet. Sunrise will be at 5:42 a.m.
