Surf Report & Forecast for June 22-23

Inconsistent knee- to chest-high sets as new SW moves in.

A new long period south swell mixed in with just a dash of lingering NW wind swell at local beaches is producing inconsistent knee- to chest-high waves.

Tide is low, officially bottoming out at 8:40 a.m. at just over 1 foot, so there's not much incoming power. In a few hours, hopefully we'll see a strong push that will jack up waves more consistently in the 4-plus foot range.

Winds are calm right now and expected to blow moderately at 10 knots by early afternoon.

Length of ride right now is short because of low tide. High tide is at 3:50 p.m. at 4.2 feet.

Sunset for the first full day of summer is at 8:01 p.m.

Water temperature is 63 degrees.

For tomorrow, June 23, long-period SW swell produces at least 3-4 foot sets, hopefully head-high on the bigger pulses.
