Surf Report & Forecast for June 23-24

Inconsistent 2- to 3-feet SW sets.

It’s a gray, misty morning and the new SW swell has been disappointing. What was supposed to be solid 4-feet sets has thus far only materialized into an inconsistent 2- to 3-feet slow and weak push.

Winds are calm right now and expected to remain so until early afternoon. Winds will top out at 10 knots max today.

Water temp is 63.

Tide goes out until 9:30 at 1.5 feet and reaches high at 4:30 p.m. at 4.6 feet. If the swell was more consistent, the late-morning push would be a good time to go out, but with the swell being as inconsistent as it is, the incoming tide might not be a factor today.

Sunset is at 8:02 p.m.

For tomorrow, Friday the 24th, a much shorter period swell, mainly from the west, is expected to grace our shores, albeit very temporarily. By Saturday, a new SW is due. For tomorrow, call it 2-3 feet and occasionally chest high.
