Surf Report & Forecast for June 27-28

Be patient: Sets still coming in at chest-high.

Dominanat SW energy has faded but we're seeing another NW mix background unusual for this time of year. The result is mostly 2-3 foot weak, short-shoulder section rides but with occasional 4-foot plus waves that may make it worth your while to paddle out.

Winds are calm right now and will be for most of the day with a slight breeze due soon from the west or northwest.

Water temperature: 64 degrees.

Tides won't be much of a factor early today. It's pushing in until 8:30 a.m. at 3.1 feet; low tide drops not even a foot at 12:30 p.m. There will be a decent push later this afternoon. At 7 p.m. we're due for a high tide of over 5 feet, so early evening/late afternoon sessions could be fun with the incoming tidal energy.

We've just passed the longest days of sunlight of the year, so sunsets will start getting earlier. Tonight's occurs at 8:01 p.m.

For tomorrow, June 28, weak SW energy sticks around keeping significant wave heights under 4 feet. Most waves will break at 2-3 feet but some rare head-high pulses might stick around.
