Surf Report & Forecast for June 30 - July 1

Although the SW swell has all but faded into oblivion, there are some decent longboardable nuggets to be surfed. We’re looking at sunny, mostly clean conditions with wave heights checking in at the 1-2 feet range with a rare 3-feet wave every now and then. 

If you’re looking for bigger surf, you’ll have to drive away from Encinitas and duke it out with hundreds of other surfers at spots like Old Man’s or Trestles.

Winds will become an issue once again this afternoon as the atmosphere heats up and kicks up 15-20 MPH winds from the west. 

Water temp will feel like bathtub water with the sunny conditions, though not with the wind. Most breaks are checking in at 65. 

Tide comes in until 10:30 a.m. at 3.7 feet. Low tide is at 3:00 p.m. at 2.3 feet before surging up to 6.4 feet at 9:00 p.m. this evening. 

For tomorrow, the first day of July, and a new moon, the evening tide will once again be very high: 6.5 feet at 9:45 p.m. Conditions will be very similar to today with 1-2 feet being the norm at most breaks. Dawn patrol coincides with an incoming low tide.
