Surf Report & Forecast for May 13-14

If you thought it couldn't get any smaller than earlier this week, you were wrong!

Currently, there are six people out at Swami's. Four of them are kayakers, another a SUPer. That should give you some indication of how small it is. Knee-high would be exaggerating.

Seems like the NW windswell has all but faded and the SW groundswell is on life support.

Even with a draining tide going out until 12:30 p.m. at 0.7 feet, it's very inconsistent and mostly flat, save for a few ripples.

High-performance beach breaks, if the winds pick up, may be the only spots showing any signs of life. Maybe on the tidal upswing later this afternoon, we'll see a bump in wave energy, hopefully to at least waist-high. High tide is at 7 p.m. at 5.7 feet.

Sunset is at 7:41 p.m.

What's on tap for the weekend? Surf similar to today with 1-2 feet, perhaps rare 3-foot faces. We might also get south winds up to 10 knots, so all in all, not looking like a great surf weekend. First tide of the morning will be high at 7:45 a.m. at 4 feet.
