Surf Report & Forecast for May 21-22

South swell has peaked, still showing 3-4.

Early morning sessions are for the most part short rides and lots of dumpy closeouts because of the negative low tide.

A -0.6-foot tide bottomed out at 7:20 a.m. and won't get above the 0-feet mark until after 9 a.m.

NW wind swell is now history as the S swell is the dominant system. It's a longer period swell so lot's of sitting around. Swell energy seems like it has backed off since yesterday morning.

But there are still plenty of 3-4 foot sets with the occasional head-high rogue rolling through. Conditions will hopefully be better once the tide starts filling in. High tide this afternoon is at 2:15 p.m. at 3.7 feet. Tide drops only one foot by 6:45 p.m.

Wind is calm this morning. Expect a slight chop by afternoon.

Water temp is 62-63.

Sunset tonight: 7:47 p.m.

For tomorrow, Sunday, moderate south winds may affect surface texture. Expect 2-3 foot sets with occasional four-footers coming from a more westerly direction than today.
