Surf Report & Forecast for May 23-24

Combo SW and WNW windswell at 3-4 feet.

A new windswell has filled in, combining with SW groundswell to bump up wave heights a wee bit from yesterday. Call it waist- to chest-high, at least on the drop in.

With low tide at 0.3 feet at 9:10 a.m., form looks broken up.

There are already some wind ripples showing on the surface, so it's not glassy and well put together but there are definitely plenty of 2-3 foot sets with the occasional 4-footer sneaking in.

Water temperature may have cooled off a degree or two with the NW filling in. Call it 61 degrees.

Wind will be moderate from the dreaded southerly direction so get your session in before it starts picking up and gets blown out.

High tide is at 4:20 p.m. at 4 feet; draining slowly afterward. There won't be a late afternoon suckout session.

Sunset tonight is at 7:48 p.m.

For tomorrow, May 24, expect similar wave heights at 3-4 feet but with stronger wind than today, coming in from either straight onshore or more from the SW.
