Surf Report & Forecast for May 24-25

Crumbly 3-4 foot sets; wind will pick up soon.

The combo NW windswell and S groundswell continues to hold, but waves are looking more crumbly today. Sets are coming in waist- to chest-high.

Tide is gradually draining until 10 a.m., reaching low at 0.7 feet. High tide will be at 5 p.m. at 4.2 feet.

Water temperature is 62 degrees.

Shape is already broken up with short lines at most local breaks. Winds are expected to remain under 10 knots but will be coming in from the south later today, so expect form to be poor later. By late afternoon, winds could shift to a more onshore pattern and standout beach breaks could see a bump in wave heights if the windswell holds.

Sunset tonight: 7:49 p.m.

For tomorrow, May 25, expect wave heights to be back down in the 2-foot range as the windswell fades out, high pressure moves in and the south groundswell tapers off.
