Surf Report & Forecast for May 31-June 1

Smaller today; 2-3 feet with clean conditions.

Yesterday's morning high-tide overhead and ridiculously crowded session seems like a distant memory this morning.

Clean 2- to 3-foot sets with short, broken lines are the norm for most local breaks. No fat, overhead drop-ins to be found like yesterday's wind swell. Wind is calm right now but will reach over 10 knots by early afternoon.

Tide is coming in until 10 a.m. at 3.5 feet. Low tide is 2 feet at 2:30 p.m. before a radical upswing to 6 feet at 8:45 p.m. New moon is tomorrow (along with a partial solar eclipse that won't be visible here).

For tomorrow, June 1, a new long-period south swell fills in, as does a strong dose of NW wind. Combined, we could see head-high or overhead waves as we did on Memorial Day. Wave heights should be at least chest-high.
