Encinitas Surf Report & Forecast: Nov. 11-12
Small and swamped out for now; swell may fill in later.

Despite reports of 4-foot surf by late morning, conditions are still mostly flat. Yesterday's Full Moon is still causing very high morning tides. Tide peaks today at 8:30 a.m. at over 6 feet. Tide gradually drains until 3:30 p.m. at (negative) -0.3 feet.
Very light winds from the low-pressure, tropical-like conditions may blow offshore throughout the day.
Swell is supposed to gradually fill in throughout the day so as the tide drains, we could see some significant surf, but it hasn't materialized yet.

For tomorrow, Saturday, 11-12-11, chest-to-head high surf is forecasted but we could also see some rain trash conditions. Forecasters have gotten it wrong plenty of times, so who knows, could be perfectly groomed, sunny and head-high.
