Encinitas Surf Report & Forecast: Nov. 21-22

Clear conditions; knee to waist high.

Slow-rolling lines and clear conditions make for a decent back-to-work surf session. Wave heights are on average two feet, with the occasional 3-footer.

Conditions should get slightly better as the tide drains from a pre-dawn patrol high of nearly 6 feet at 5:30 a.m. Tide is outgoing until 12:15 p.m. at under one foot.

Water temp is 58.

If you're health is compromised at all, stay out of the water for a few days after yesterday's rain. Don't surf Pipes or Cardiff Reef or Moonlight Beach. Water quality most likely has some elevated bacteria, but the water does look clear at most spots.

For tomorrow, Tuesday the 22nd, minor NW swell sticks around, keeping wave heights at waist-high at best.
