With a dawn patrol air temp of only 45 degrees, most surfers probably stayed in bed, especially with soft, broken lines only checking in at waist-high at best.
Another reason for a no paddle out decision this morning: very high tide, which peaked at 6:00 a.m. at well over 6 feet. Tide is now draining and will reach low at 1:00 p.m. at (negative) -0.5 feet, before cresting this evening to 4 feet at 7:00 p.m.
Water temp is still at the 58-59 degree mark.

For tomorrow, the day before Thanksgiving, not much activity is expected with a continuing fading of NW energy. Swell direction might be more straight-on west so beach breaks could get some decent pop and the groms can perfect their aerials all day while on break from school. Hopefully, longboarders can find a few fun ones as well.
