Encinitas Surf Report & Forecast: Nov. 4-5

Winds from the SW generally create the worst conditions and early this morning, winds from that direction are already blowing at 15 knots and could exceed 20 knots by early afternoon. 

SW swell which materialized yesterday in beautiful, glassy conditions, sticks around, but with the choppy conditions, it may not be worth a paddle out today.

Wave heights are up to chest high. Tide is going out until 12:30 p.m. at about 2 feet; evening high tide is 6:00 p.m. at just over 4 feet. 

Water temp hovers at 60 and with no brilliant sunshine, if you do paddle out today, it'll feel downright cold. 

Sunset is at 5:54 p.m.

For tomorrow, Saturday the 5th, winds should back off and swell from a more westerly direction should kick up some potential head-high surf. Form will be questionable as it's unclear whether the tail end of this storm will be enough to keep conditions choppy.
