Surf Report & Forecast for Oct. 20-21

A slight bump up from yesterday; knee to waist high.

Local NW windswell and a lingering weak SW groundswell has inched up into the knee to waist high range with rare waist+ pulses.

Beachbreaks that do well picking up the windswell will be the best call today.

Peaks are short-lived, quick drops and then soft, short shoulders.

Winds from the NW will remain at about 10 knots by afternoon but shouldn't be very heavy.

Water temp is still in the low 60s.

There's little tide fluctuation between this early morning's high and the low at 10:15 a.m. at 3 feet. High tide this afternoon will be at 4:00 p.m. at 4.5 feet, so hopefully early afternoon's incoming push will create some fun waves.

Sunset tonight: 6:11 p.m.

For tomorrow, Friday the 21st, waves will remain in the 2-3 foot range but will likely shift direction with groundswell coming from the NW instead of SW.
