Surf Report & Forecast for Oct. 3-4

Focus on starting that book you always wanted to--it's a weak surf day.

Weak, broken up knee-high surf is about the best any local break is showing this morning. Longboarders may find some decent takeoffs but shoulders quickly die.

Water temp is a bit of a mystery. Some pockets are cold while others feel tropical. Tidal fluctuations and ebb and flow of red tide is having a big effect on constant water temp.

Winds are light but will pick up by early afternoon. Tide comes in until 2:30 p.m. at 5 feet. Low tide isn't until after 10:00 p.m. at just over 0 feet.

For tomorrow, Tuesday the 4th, expect surf to pick back up to chest high. We may be getting some rain in the next couple days but current models predict a NW swell of 2-3 feet.
