Surf Report & Forecast for Sept. 5-6

Some SW energy still remains, although sets are inconsistent. Most waves are seeing waist to shoulder high, with set waves checking in at head high. 

The second major upwelling of summer has caused water temps to plummet to 57 degrees. 

Shape looks crossed up as both NW wind and a weak NW groundswell are the dominant forces in between SW sets. 

Wind will exceed 10 knots from the northwest. 

Low tide is at 3 feet at 10:00 a.m. High tide is at 4:30 p.m. at 5.3 feet. 

Sunset is at 7:07 p.m. 

Waves look sectiony and peaky today for the most part but there are a few connecting shoulders every now and then but not often.

For tomorrow, back-to-work day (Tuesday the 6th), expect the SW to linger in the waist to shoulder high zone with the occasional bigger set rolling through. Onshore wind will chop surface texture by late morning. High tide will be at 7:00 a.m. at 4 feet.
