Surf Report & Forecast for Sept. 16-18

Knee to waist high all weekend.

SW swell continues to weaken but local spots that do well with a combo swell might see some shoulder high punch peaks with active windswell today and lasting through the weekend.

Mid-morning sessions are the best tide-wise. Low tide is just before dawn; high tide is at 11:20 at 5.1 feet. Evening low tide will be at 6:15 p.m. at 1.1 feet.

Water temp is 64-65.

Sunset tonight: 6:52 p.m.

Weak lines with soft shoulders will be the norm but it still should be worth the paddle out. There's still red tide in the water, so if you're immune system gets compromised from it, it might not be worth a paddle because today's conditions will be far from epic. Both Saturday and Sunday look like they're going to be small surf days, with wind from the SW tomorrow and from the NW on Sunday. Occasional three or four foot faces might sneak by every now and then but expect surf to stay in the waist high range.
