Surf Report & Forecast for Sept. 6-7

Smaller; wait till tide drains later this morning.

With a high tide that peaked at 7 a.m. at 4 feet, most breaks are seeing lackluster knee-to-waist-high surf as the SW finally fades away.

Most breaks are running waist-high. Low tide is at 11:36 a.m. at 2.9 feet, so not much difference between morning high and low, so waves will probably stay weak.

A minor NW groundswell is still in the mix causing shoulders to fade fast. Evening high tide is at 5:45 at 5.8 feet so early afternoon sessions might see a tad more energy. Winds should stay light for most of the day, before picking up late in the afternoon. Evening glass off is not likely, but you never know.

Early morning wave heights are mostly 2-3 feet. With everybody seemingly back at work, many top spots are nearly empty. Water temp is still booty-licious at 58.

Sunset seems to be one hour earlier every night. Tonight it's at 7:07 p.m.

For tomorrow, Wednesday the 7th, expect knee-to-waist high surf to remain, before the SW fully fizzles away like a distant summer memory.
