Surf Report & Forecast for September 8-9

Hopefully this won't happen to you but if you got your hand stuck in a wood chipper and ended up with only one finger, that one finger right now could count how many surfers were out at Swamis. 

Yes, it's that flat. Occasionally, a short-lived pop up peak is catchable with a longer board, but with the high tide peaked now (8:15 a.m.; 4.4 feet), whatever small pulses are out there are slow. 

Tide drains fully by 1:30 p.m. at 2 feet. Evening high tide is 7:30 p.m. at 5.7 feet (Full moon coming early next week). 

Water temp is still in the low 60s, maybe even high 50s in some spots from last week's upwelling. But with high air temps in the low 80s, trunking it for at least 30-45 minutes shouldn't be a problem.

Winds will stay very light today. Air will feel stifling if you're landlocked with no air conditioning. 

For tomorrow, Friday the 9th, weak southwest pulses occasionally will bring waist-high surf and probably nothing bigger.
