Surf Report & Forecast for September 9-10
Morning high tide shutting down most breaks; 2-3 foot surf possible later.

With air temps in the last couple of days in the 80s, it didn't matter if the water temp was in the low 60s, but today, with the lights back on and cooler skies prevailing, you may feel a bit of a nip in the ocean; call it low 60s with some pockets in the high 50s.
This morning's high tide (8:45 a.m. at 4.7 feet) appears to be shutting down most breaks. Beach breaks are seeing a little more consistency and bigger waves this morning.
As the tide drains later (2:15 p.m. at 1.6 feet), we may see more consistency at the reef breaks, but don't expect much bigger than waist high. Afternoon sessions on the incoming tide might be more crowded, coinciding with everyone getting off of work, and a rising tide.

Wind should stay below 10 knots, but they'll be coming from the dreaded direction of SW, possibly blowing hard enough to prevent an evening glass off.
