Suspicious Device Investigated In Encinitas

ENCINITAS, CA – A bomb squad investigated a suspicious device Wednesday in Encinitas.

A work crew discovered the device at the San Elijo Lagoon, according to sheriff's officials. The device, found off the 2700 block of Manchester Avenue, was described as possibly a flare or a piece of military ordnance.

Bomb squad personnel have since cleared the scene. No other information was immediately available.
