Teens Aspire To Assisting Community
Local teens have formed a new group, Assisteens, which is part of the Assistance League of Rancho San Dieguito.

The Assisteens of Assistance League Rancho San Dieguito (ALRSD) held their first meeting on June 12th with 16 of the 17 members attending. The meeting was led by Claire Killeen and Greta Obispo who are mothers of an Assisteen member and themselves new members of ALRSD. The girls are 8th grade students from Oak Crest Middle School and Diegueno Middle School. The meeting time involved various games that encouraged the girls to interact with one another. They also identified several activities that they would like to become involved with as a social group and as ALRSD Assisteens. Regular meetings will take place on the second Sunday of each month, 4:30pm—6pm at Round Table Pizza, 1321 Encinitas Blvd. For more information contact Jan McEachern at alrsd@yahoo.com.
