'Trees For Jane': Photos Of The Day

ENCINITAS, CA — Encinitas resident and Patch reader Katy Brown captured these photos for "Trees For Jane," an international grassroots campaign to protect and restore the world's trees and forests inspired by Jane Goodall.

"There were so many unique tree specimens quietly showing off their beauty in the front yards and backyards of San Diego residents. I really didn't have to trespass; they were growing tall and strong, just waiting to be admired," Brown said. "My camera clicked so many times it was a hard decision on this journey which tree was the best San Diego ambassador. I lost count!"
