Two Encinitas Skateboarders Cast on National Sports Show

This will be the teens' second time to be featured.

Encinitas skateboarders Zane Timpson, 16, and Miles Mullanix, 17, will be featured in the fifth season of FUEL TV’s Camp Woodward, a show that gives young athletes the chance to ride side-by-side with some of the biggest names in skateboarding and BMX.

Timpson and Mullanix have both been featured previously on the TV show, and in fact, this season’s cast includes a total of nine returning athletes and three new athletes. Producers are also changing up the format by splitting the athletes into two teams, and then having them compete in series of challenges.

“This summer we’re raising the stakes by bringing back some of the previous season’s biggest characters, remembered for their untamed behavior, and putting them in situations that will test their mettle,” said Dave Paine, Senior Producer for FUEL TV, in a news release.

Though the show includes teens from across the nation, Timpson and Mullanix are not the only cast members who hail from this area: San Diego skateboarder Tyler Correll, 16, and BMX-er Chad Kerley, 17, will also be featured this season.

The show will begin production for the next two week’s at Camp Woodward in Woodward, Pennsylvania. The new season will premiere in February and air for eight weeks.
