“We are very proud of Tracy, who has always demonstrated a commitment to proactive, compassionate caregiving,” said Jennifer Wheat, general manager of the 24Hr HomeCare Encino office. “We are honored and humbled to work with such a qualified person. She embodies all the qualities we look for in a 24Hr HomeCare employee.”
A CPR-certified caregiver with extensive training and experience, Day’s rapid response saved her client’s life. During her shift, Day saw that her client, Judith Marti, had lost the ability to breathe. Immediately, Day called 911, administered CPR and successfully kept Marti breathing until the paramedics arrived. Marti is currently in stable condition at Woodland Hills Hospital.
“Tracy saved my wife's life, and for that I am eternally grateful,” said Oscar Marti, Judith Marti’s husband. “While my daughter and I panicked, Tracy kept a cool head. She has given new meaning to the word ‘indispensable,’ not just with the everyday tasks required to properly take care of an ill patient, but with her good sense of humor and attitude toward life. She has become almost a member of the family.”
