ADL Honors Alison Diamond and California United Bank at the 32nd Annual ADL/El Caballero Golf Tournament & Awards Dinner on Sept. 9

The Anti-Defamation League will partner with El Caballero Country Club for the 32nd Annual ADL/El Caballero Golf Tournament & Awards Dinner on Wednesday, September 9. At the event, ADL will honor Alison Diamond of Tarzana with the Sam Saltsman Award and California United Bank with the Corporate Community Service Award. We are pleased to celebrate these honorees for their commitment to the betterment our community.
Alison Diamond has spent much of her life actively involved in the Jewish community. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley and attended Birmingham High School and California State University Northridge, where she met her husband Gary. Diamond was extremely involved at Heschel Day School, where her two children attended. At El Caballero Country Club, she has served on the House Committee, Food & Beverage Committee, and currently serves on the Membership Committee. Diamond also lends her time to the Jewish Federation, where she is the Philanthropic Chair for El Caballero Country Club, recently co-chaired the King David Society Dinner honoring former Prime Minister and President Shimon Peres, co-chaired a Poland/Israel Mission in 2010 and has co-chaired several Major Gifts dinners. Diamond is a loyal ADL supporter and believes in the organization’s mission. She has served on the ADL/El Cab Golf Tournament planning committee since 1997 and co-chaired the event the past four years.
Founded in 2005 in Encino, California United Bank (“CUB”) is a regional community bank with a four-county presence in Southern California. CUB provides a full range of financial services and is currently headquartered in Downtown Los Angeles, with additional full-service offices in the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, Conejo Valley, Simi Valley, Los Angeles, South Bay, Orange County and the Inland Empire. California United Bank supports the work of its employees, who spend time volunteering at over 100 local non-profits. The company has raised over $1.4 million for local charities through its eight annual golf tournaments, fulfilling a key component of the company’s mission to be a positive, enriching influence throughout its communities. CUB is a proud supporter of the Anti-Defamation League and has supported the ADL/El Cab Tournament for years.
David I. Rainer of Encino serves as Chairman and CEO of California United Bank and will accept ADL’s Corporate Community Service Award on CUB’s behalf. Rainer currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, has served as a Director of the California Bankers Association and is a former Director of the Big Brothers of Greater Los Angeles, the Inner City Arts, Los Angeles Urban League, Junior Achievement of Southern California, the Santa Monica College Foundation and Operation Hope. Rainer was honored by City of Hope as its Man of the Year in 2002 and is a past recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Raised in the San Fernando Valley, Rainer earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from California State University, Northridge.
The full day of golf tournament activities includes lunch, 18 holes of golf on a renowned course, hole-in-one opportunities, cocktails, a raffle, live auction, dinner and awards presentation. Proceeds from the event will go towards ADL programs.

Mitch Dunitz and Ian Smith serve as event co-chairs. Each year over 125 golfers participate and more than 250 dinner guests attend to support ADL and the evening’s honorees.
