
Tarzana, CA February 22-24, 2013: Temple Judea will host its annual Purim Carnival Friday February 22 through Sunday 24 The carnival—which raises funds for school and camp scholarships —will be held in the large parking on the corner of Ventura Blvd and Lindley Avenue. The Carnival will be open Friday 2/22 from 5:00pm to 11:00pm Saturday from 1:00pm to 11:00pm and Sunday 2/24 from 10:00am to 11:00pm. The carnival will have a wide variety of rides for toddlers to teens and exciting games with fabulous prizes. Friday and Saturday we will have local food trucks and a candy cart for all kinds of snacks.
On Sunday The Temple Judea Staff and volunteers will host even more exciting things to do including but not limited to the now famous Kids Zone and Mini Midway. There will be arts and crafts, treasure hunts, face painting, and more. We will have lots of toddler games in our Mini Midway. Our Brotherhood will be cooking Kosher BBQ available for purchase, as well as other tasty treats and Kids can come in costume for a contest if they like and we will have our first ever 50/50 with half the proceeds benefiting our community children with scholarships to our school programs. Outlaw Salon will be providing haircuts, shaves, and blowouts, and a raffle will feature products and services from local Valley businesses.
Purim is the most festive of Jewish holidays, a time of prizes, noisemakers, costumes and treats. The Festival of Purim commemorates a major victory over oppression and is recounted in the Megillah, the scroll of the story of Esther.

Tickets and wristbands can be purchased in advance or on the day of the carnival. Everyone is welcome. A marketplace will highlight local products and services – space is still available. Sponsorships, which include listings on the carnival website and program, and can include signage at the carnival are also available. Thousands of people are expected to attend.
