Burst Water Main Floods Ventura Boulevard, Again
BREAKING: A burst water main has shut down lanes on Ventura Boulevard in Encino.

ENCINO, CA — A water main break in the Encino area Thursday knocked out service to seven businesses.
The break was reported about 1 a.m. on Ventura Boulevard near Haskell Avenue, and flooded the California Chicken Cafe, authorities said.
A Los Angeles Department of Water and Power crew shut off the flow of water and worked to repair the main.

Two westbound lanes of Ventura Boulevard were closed between Haskell and Firmament avenues while crews worked to handle the problem. It's the second time this month, a burst water main flooded Ventura Boulevard. Last week one flooded Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks during the afternoon rush hour.
