Encino Little League's Dream Season Comes to an End

A summary of Encino's season-ending 11-1 loss against Ocean View Sunday afternoon.

The 12-and-under Encino All-Stars (12-3) lost 11-1 to Ocean View (12-1) Sunday afternoon in West Covina, ending their dream season.

Ocean View jumped ahead 2-0 in the top of the first, added two in the second, three in the fourth and four more in the sixth.

Justin Greenwald smashed a solo home run, his seventh of the all-star season. Grant Berman, Jamie Robertson and Jack Scher each added base hits. Gordon Magruder made an amazing diving catch on the dead run in deep right field.

Encino finishes third in the state behind only Southern California champions Ocean View and northern California champions Red Bluff.
